PURPOSE:
TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE EFFECTS ON PLANET EARTH OF ITS MOON’S IMPACT ORIGINS AS WELL AS THE PHYSICAL RESULTS OF THAT INCIDENT ON THE ORIGINAL PACIFIC OCEAN BASIN AND RESULTANT CONTINENTAL DRIFT IN THE ORIGINS OF SUPERCONTINENT PANGEAE AND ATLANTIC OCEAN.
SUMMARY:
THIS BLOG OUTLINES THEORIES OF HOW THE ORIGIN OF THE MOON AFFECTED THE CHANGING GEOLOGY OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN BASIN C/W RESULTANT CONTINENT DRIFT TO BUILD SUPERCONTINENT PANGEAE-C/W IMPACTS OF K/T & ATLANTIC OCEAN BIRTH.
The Impact Of The MOON-MAKER….
Now let us come down to our young Solar System in the still new Milky Way Galaxy. At this time our Earth is less than two billion years old and it has cooled enough to have formed the Lithosphere made up of a solid Crust and a semi-solid Mantle underneath. It is still much too early for any life to be able to survive on Earth. It’s just as well as right at this moment a huge asteroid rock the size of Planet Mars has successfully passed through the giant guardian planets’ gauntlet and is headed straight for the young Earth.
It streaks right into our semi-molten home planet from the north at about a 45 degree angle. Its impact chops a huge chunk out of the side of our Earth right down to its semi-molten core. From the impact energy that gigantic bite then went soaring out into space. Like a new twin of Saturn the severed piece soon formed a huge ring moving around the wounded Earth. Gradually over much time the ring’s own gravity forced it to come together into the natural shape of a ball that become our Moon.
